Undoubtedly, our sensitivity serves as the lens through which we discover the world around us, embarking on this profound journey from the moment of our birth. To navigate the world, we engage our five senses (hearing, smell, sight, touch, and taste), marking pivotal moments of learning and the development of sensory acuity – a journey that continues until we can fully grasp and wield them as adults. Saverio Tomasella introduces a sixth sense, kinaesthesia (also known as proprioception) – a conscious awareness of our body’s movements in space, internal and external balance – and even hints at a seventh, the realm of intuition.
😌 The Dance of Self-Connection
At various junctures in our lives, the need arises to re-establish a connection with this intrinsic and intuitive wisdom. This involves tuning into our sensations, decoding what they disclose about ourselves, our well-being, and our intricate relationship with the world. Engaging in creative pursuits or activities that encourage a decelerated pace contributes to refining the seven senses delineated by Saverio Tomasella: dance, singing, gardening, and more. It’s equally about maintaining an atmosphere of attentiveness and relaxation. Purposefully disconnecting from social networks and embracing breaks, meditation, yoga, or hiking all play integral roles. Each of these practices contributes significantly to fortifying self-confidence by embracing trust in these senses and intuition, both dedicated to our holistic well-being.
