We all know that little voice, don’t we? Even though we often silence it or fail to give it the attention it deserves. How can we fully rely on it, anyway? Yet, there are times when we acknowledge that not everything needs a rational explanation ; we simply know something is right because we feel it deep within!
This sense of intuition is occasionally accompanied by authentic physical reactions in our bodies either a sense of discomfort (an urge to flee!) or, conversely, a pervasive feeling of well-being (I am in the right place!). Our brain swiftly decodes the signals (stimuli) it receives, and intuition often takes over. The reaction is immediate; everything becomes clear without the need for further reasoning.
So, What Exactly Is Intuition?
Intuition operates in the realm of perception; it is the voice of our unconscious. It empowers us to grasp a situation instantly, bypassing the need for analysis. We then undergo a negative or positive emotion that profoundly influences us, almost involuntarily (or even opposite to any apparent logic).
There’s also the concept of sudden insight: “I intuitively feel this is where I belong!” or “I am on the right path!” This can be deemed “visionary” if validated through experience or not, if nothing transpires afterward.
Sometimes considered a somewhat mysterious “6th sense” or a form of wisdom that connects us more closely to our inner selves, intuition guides us to act in alignment with our core values and in the present moment.
We can’t precisely define everything it encompasses, but it undoubtedly calls upon all our senses, including extrasensory perceptions. Similarly, we react to lots of external signals without full awareness, triggering an almost instinctive response our attitude, sensations, and feelings converge to understand what intuition truly is.

How Does Intuition Aid Decision-Making and Idea Generation?
Individuals with a strong intuition possess a clearer, more comprehensive view of a situation; it’s as if scattered puzzle pieces are effortlessly reassembled in their minds in a fraction of a second.
Intuition also enables anticipation of events, gauging the feasibility of a project, and predicting its success it’s the ability to see far into the future! In the professional arena, creatives are often more attuned to their feelings, making it easier for them to embrace their intuitions. Similarly, working on a familiar subject allows these intuitive insights to be received more effortlessly.
It’s like the puzzle we mentioned earlier: we accumulate a wealth of data, sorted and analysed by our brains (some to be utilized later, while others are deemed unnecessary and discarded). Sometimes, by pure chance, this data resurfaces, inspiring the creation of new projects or serving as the key to resolving current issues referred to as “strategic intuition.”
If the message isn’t clear enough, the body sends physical signs that contribute to our understanding.
